Leopard are powerful big cats closely related to the lions , tigers, jaguars. Also hunting by tooth and claw it's the leopard spots that separates it from the others making such a successful hunting machine. Their underlying coat color is also golden but it has complex clusters of black and brown spot patterned on top. These spots look like roses and are an actual fact called rosettes. When a leopard is on the move the pattern of  his coat blends in perfectly with his background. The camouflage simulates the shifting sunlight falling on plants and shadows and with silent footsteps he became almost invisible to the prey he is stalking. These graceful cats are not picky eaters. They have adapted their diets and will seize any opportunity for a meal. Leopards are ambush hunters. Ground hornbills arrive at the shady grove unaware that a silent killer and lurks overhead. But their search for insects pushes them on their way. Solitary animals leopard do not have the protection of  a pack of pride to feed them if they get injured. So if there is an easy meal they will take your team. Opportunity has presented itself . Leopards are the fastest and the strongest climbers of all the large cats. Brilliant coat patterning the spacing and ordering of the rosettes that kept the leopard alive in a hostile environment. Also has scientists analyzing every clue of of its camouflaging ability for military usage. Ironically that brilliance that beauty of coat is also the cat's death sentence. Desire by humans to wear  dead leopard skin on their fashion inspiration has led to thousands of  upon thousands of  iconic being killed for their coat. It's a incredible shame and such a loss to our beautiful wild areas that leopards are the most persecuted big cat on earth . All because of this the most perfect adaptation their skin.

Habitat

Rainforests, deserts, woodlands, savannas grasslands, coastal scrubs, scrub lands and swampy areas. They are live in more places than any other large cat.

Male : 60 to 70 cm (adult) (at shoulder)

Female : 57 to 64 cm( adult) (at shoulder)

Weight

Male : 31 kg 

Female : 23 to 27 kg

Lifespan

12 to 17 years

Food and water

Gazelles, wild boars, antelopes, wild sheep and goats , etc

Water :  Drink 3 liters (avg per month)  don't need much water to survive. They survive from moisture they get from eating their prey.

90 to 105 days

Threats

Poachers poach for their beautiful  fur coat.
